busy times
Gosh Ive been really busy sewing here are some quilts Ive been making over the last couple of weeks. I went to the quilt exhibition at the V&A last year in London and bought some Liberty prints. I ve been holding on to them for ages deciding what to do . I decided on a disappearing 9 patch. Theres a deliberate mistake when I sewed a whole row back to front so there is one large square. but I think it all adds to the fun
Then I had a go at hourglass with a moda charm pack
as you can see I can only quilt in straight lines I'm no good at stippling!!

bugsy malone
Will was in a school production of bugsy malone playing Leroy the boxer.
Can I have a gangster suit made he asked?
I found an old copy of vogue 2367 zoot suit on ebay- it was too big so I scaled it down to fit a 13 year old. Bought some striped wool flannel and some paisley lining and sewed. I think it looks really cool. the trousers and the waistcoat are from my good old Burda suit pattern for boys ( see other reviews). Fedora from TK MAXX ( my favorite shop £9.00)
House is a mess as always but we are renovating the hall thats why it has bare plaster!

sound of music
I went to a sing along a sound of music which was so much fun- I went in costume of course
sorry the picture is so poor and my kitchen looks a mess but the outfit is just so cute
Im a bit fatter tho than Julie Andrews
Made from a folkwear pattern which was really easy and fab to use. Used some old curtains in a laura ashley fabric for the dress. Altered the pattern to do a lace up front as ran out of time to fit with hooks and eyes
