I was asked to put together a display for the history department of a local school about the suffragette movement Ive done a banner based on one I found on the Internet. i used my Husqvarna embroidery machine to do several designs which I then stitched togther and backed in a purple material. I'm really pleased with the results

busy times
Gosh Ive been really busy sewing here are some quilts Ive been making over the last couple of weeks. I went to the quilt exhibition at the V&A last year in London and bought some Liberty prints. I ve been holding on to them for ages deciding what to do . I decided on a disappearing 9 patch. Theres a deliberate mistake when I sewed a whole row back to front so there is one large square. but I think it all adds to the fun
Then I had a go at hourglass with a moda charm pack
as you can see I can only quilt in straight lines I'm no good at stippling!!
